Etiqa is owned by Maybank Ageas Holdings Berhad, a joint venture company that combines local market knowledge with international insurance expertise. The company is 69% owned by Maybank, one of Asia’s leading banking groups with more than 22 million customers worldwide in 20 countries; and 31% by Ageas, an international insurance group with 39 million customers across 15 countries and a heritage that spans over 190 years, with a focus to provide world class insurance solutions to consumers in Europe and Asia through market leading joint ventures. We are a licensed life and general insurance company registered in the Republic of Singapore and regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).


Our Customers Are in Safe Hands

In addition to having financial giants Maybank and Ageas as shareholders, Etiqa is rated A- by credit ratings agency Fitch. We strive for efficient capital management and have been maintaining a Capital Adequacy Ratio that comfortably surpasses the criteria set out in the Risk Based Capital (RBC) requirement - a capital adequacy framework for insurers and reinsurers in Singapore.

Etiqa has been protecting clients since 1961 with a range of general insurance solutions that constantly evolve to meet their ever-changing needs. As the appointed insurer for the Housing Development Board (HDB) Fire Insurance Scheme in Singapore, we have been protecting homes since 2009. In 2014, Etiqa added a comprehensive suite of life insurance solutions, including protection, savings, retirement, legacy planning and universal life plans to our portfolio. This enables us to better serve our growing customer base of both high net worth and retail clients and cater to their ever changing needs.

We believe we have a responsibility to help our clients better understand their protection and savings needs and provide simple, straightforward and value for money solutions to ensure that they can live their best life today while knowing tomorrow will be taken care of.
